    Abstract:

    To integrate the advantages of Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) and infrared imaging and improve the reconnaissance effect, this paper applies shearlet transform tool and propose a fusion strategy to fully maintain the margin features of SAR and infrared imaging. Taking advantage of shearlet in representing images containing edges in multi-resolution,the algorithm can retain the edge information of original images with the gradient maximin strategy. The numerical experiments demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can effectively suppress speckle noise,and retain the original edge information,which is an effective method for SAR and infrared image fusion.
